Starting Time-Minder
Time-Minder can be accessed either by double clicking on the Time-Minder icon on your desktop, which looks like this:
Another way you can find the program by clicking on the Start button (found on the windows taskbar) and then clicking Programs, then Time-Minder.
The default install directory for Time-Minder is:
C:\Program Files\Time-Minder Version 5.5
Logging In
After running the Time-Minder application, a box with “Please select Company” will pop up. This box has a drop-down arrow from which to select Companies setup in Time-Minder. Once selected, click OK. You will then see the Download and Process Menu window:
- You now have five (5) choices: Start Time-Minder, Get LOCAL clocks data, Get MODEM clocks data, Import Data from other sources and Exit.
- If you click on either the Get LOCAL or Get MODEM clocks data icons, you will see records/ card swipes from the clock being downloaded. See Downloading for more details.
- If you click on Import Data from other sources, you will be prompted to choose the location of the file you want to import.
- Clicking on Exit will close the application.
- If you click on the first icon, Start Time-Minder, the Time-Minder Password window will pop up. Type in your password and then press Enter. The default password is ams.
- Note: Clicking on the AMS logo takes you to the Time-Minder webpage.
